These terms govern your use of TracesHub (traceshub.com and app.traceshub.com), the hosted application for the open-source agent-trace CLI, operated by Ujjal Sharma ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use TracesHub on behalf of an organization, you represent that you can bind that organization to these terms.
1. The service
TracesHub stores, displays, and lets you share attribution data for AI-written code: per-line ledgers, commit links, prompts, and agent conversation transcripts that you push with the agent-trace CLI. The underlying agent-trace-cli and agent-trace-service are open source under their own licenses; these terms cover only the hosted service.
2. Accounts
- You sign in with a GitHub account and must keep access to it secure.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account and through API tokens you mint. Keep tokens secret and revoke any token you believe is compromised.
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the higher minimum age in your country).
3. Your content
- You own what you push. Traces, prompts, transcripts, and repository content remain yours (or your organization's). We claim no ownership.
- You grant us the limited license needed to operate the service: to store, process, back up, and display your content to you and to the people you share it with. This license ends when the content is deleted, except for brief persistence in backups.
- You are responsible for what you push. Only push content you have the right to share — that includes your employer's code and your teammates' contributions. The CLI's push filters let you control whether full conversations, summaries, or only attribution data leave your machine.
- We do not use your content to train AI models, and we access it only to operate the service, investigate abuse, or as required by law.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law or infringe others' rights (including intellectual-property and privacy rights);
- upload malware, or content you are not authorized to share;
- probe, overload, or disrupt the service, or bypass rate limits and access controls;
- attempt to access other users' data without permission;
- resell the service without our written consent.
5. Third-party services
TracesHub integrates with GitHub for sign-in and the GitHub App. Your use of GitHub is governed by GitHub's own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.
6. Early-access service; availability
TracesHub is an early-stage product offered free of charge for now. We may add, change, or remove features, impose usage limits, or introduce paid plans in the future — with reasonable advance notice before anything you rely on becomes paid. We aim for high availability but offer no SLA, and maintenance or outages may interrupt the service. Export your data at any time from the app.
7. Suspension and termination
- You may stop using TracesHub at any time and may request deletion of your account and data (see the Privacy Policy).
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, create security risk, or are required to be removed by law. Where reasonable, we will notify you and give you a chance to export your data.
8. Intellectual property
The hosted service, its design, and its branding are ours. The open-source components are licensed separately under their respective licenses on GitHub. Feedback you send us may be used to improve the service without obligation to you.
9. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Attribution data is derived from what the CLI records; we do not warrant that it is complete or error-free.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (currently zero) or USD 50.
11. Indemnity
You will indemnify us against claims arising from content you push in violation of Section 3 or from your breach of these terms.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, make reasonable efforts to notify signed-in users. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the new terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India — except where the law of your country of residence grants you mandatory protections or venue rights that apply regardless.
